I launched SpaceAge as a creative outlet for myself, and to build a business with my family. I got my start in eCommerce as a founding member of another t-shirt brand, and I wanted to build another t-shirt business with my kids. They are at the age where they have the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship, and how to run a business. They help me with the designs, the social medias, and site development.
I've worked in eCommerce for my entire career; working for some of the coolest brands. It has been awesome. But I missed having a creative outlet, and bringing a little humor to the world. To be building this with my family is such a joy.
Our model is a little different. We carry zero inventory. Every t-shirt sold is printed on demand. This is intentional. It allows us to be nimble, focus on creativity, and creating designs we hope you love.
For those of you that haven't worked in inventory-based businesses, inventory is the enemy of innovation, sustainability, and so many things. The cash risk that inventory presents to a business, means businesses spend an inordinate amount of time focused on efficiently managing their on-hand inventory and not on the cool things that made them grow in the first place.
Plus a lot inventory doesn't sell quickly, and creates so much waste.
The benefit for us here at SpaceAge, is we can prototype quickly, spend most of our time focused on coming up with new designs, and getting commercial feedback. Less time in meetings and spreadsheets looking at on-hand inventory, more time being creative and bring fresh designs.
Our tees are printed when you order them. Printing plus shipping typically takes 5-7 business days to reach your location. We use high quality, soft tees and work with domestic partners for our printing.
We are absolutely focused on providing you with amazing customer service. It's our family running this business, and as the founder, I am typically the one responding to any customer service inquiry. We want you to have an amazing experience with us, and our products.
